Archives Deep Dive: Isamu Noguchi’s Proposals for the 1939 World’s Fair
Join us for a presentation by Alex Ross, Managing Editor of The Isamu Noguchi Catalogue Raisonné, on recent research into Isamu Noguchi’s designs for the New York World’s Fair of 1939. While Noguchi’s iconic Chassis Fountain for the Ford Exposition is the most well-known project he completed for the Fair, this discussion will also explore his unrealized proposals and several recently identified proposed designs, including sculpture for a model community center and for the United States Federal Building.
